What this is
After you create your workspace, your agent asks a few friendly questions: what to call you, what you enjoy, and what you are working toward. It uses your answers to personalize its private replies in Chat, for example by greeting you by name or suggesting dinner ideas that fit your tastes. Every question is optional, and you can finish later.
The steps
- Intro. A new owner names the workspace, chooses its timezone, and chooses Create workspace. Then choose Let's get started.
- You. Say what to call you, and optionally your full name, birthday, pronouns, city, and what describes you. A preferred name is needed only to press Next on this tab.
- Your world. Pick interests from six groups, such as food, travel, and what matters most to you. Use the search box to filter; press Enter to add an interest of your own to the open group.
- Go deeper. Optionally describe your goals, your physical and mental health, and anything else the agent should know.
- Done. Review the summary and choose Start chatting.
Next saves only the tab you are on. Use Back to return; text you typed stays on the page while you move around, but it is not saved until you press Next.
Skip anything
Skip for now moves to the next step and saves nothing from the tab you skipped. You can also leave the steps halfway: the next time you sign in you land in Chat, and you can finish at any time under Brain → About you with Finish onboarding.
How well I know you
The ring labeled “How well I know you” shows a percentage and the same number as text. It rises as you add a name, pronouns, birthday, city, what describes you, at least five interests across three groups, your goals, a health note, and anything else. It is a guide, not a score: you never need to reach 100%.
Health notes
Your physical and mental health notes are saved, but they are not sent to the AI model unless you turn on Let my agent use my health notes in conversations. The switch is off by default, and you can change it at any time in Brain → About you. Turning it off stops sending your health notes from then on, but earlier replies in a conversation are not changed. Start a new chat to leave them behind.
Change it or forget it
Open Brain → About you to edit anything, press Save, or choose Forget all to delete everything in this section. Changes apply to the agent's next conversation. Replies you have already received are not changed when you forget or edit something: they stay in their conversation and are removed only when you delete your workspace. Your export includes this section, and deleting your workspace erases it.
Your writing profile comes later
The setup steps do not ask for a writing profile. The first time you ask for a draft, Chat shows a card named Set up your writing profile first. Choose Set up writing profile, enter your goal, tone, and principles in the form, save it, then choose Try again. That puts your request back in the message box; press Send to submit it. You can also set it up any time in Brain → Profile. Reminders, document answers, calendar questions, and general conversation never need a writing profile.
