What it does and when to use it
Profile is your explicitly saved writing guidance: a goal, a tone, and up to ten principles that shape drafts. You set it up when you first need it. If you ask for a draft before saving one, Chat shows a card named Set up your writing profile first: choose Set up writing profile, fill in the form in the card, save, then choose Try again, which puts your request back in the message box; press Send to submit it. You can also open Brain → Profile at any time to fill in or change the same form. The setup steps for a new workspace do not ask for it, and reminders, document answers, calendar questions, and general conversation work without one.
Important concepts
A profile version records what you saved. The assistant cannot change it directly. Saving confirms its use in public-content workflows, so a private journal entry belongs elsewhere. A confirmed position must come from your explicit choices, not an AI suggestion. Profile is different from About you, which holds private personal details used only in your private conversations and never for drafts.
Available actions
Open Brain → Profile, change the goal, tone, or principles, confirm public use, and choose Save profile. A saved version number appears; typing alone changes nothing. Follow Tell your agent about you for how the profile fits with the first-time steps.
Current limitations
There is one agent profile in a personal workspace, with no separate personas or team roles. Profile changes can stop an in-progress task and invalidate earlier approvals for download. Reassess affected drafts before approving again. Changing interface language does not change your saved profile text or its version.
